in aid of... a saturday night

Hi all,
I am acutely aware that probably only 2 people are fequently (if that) going to visit this site, but one must try and make it interesting, even for the few!
Its now 27 minutes past the last hour of the day, and what have I achieved? Well, I have typed out my plan for my essay and read around 20 boring pages about 'patterns of disease'. Does anyone else do that thing where you start reading the preliminary pages and time runs out before you actually get to the bits you were actually supposed to be reading? Well, looks like I really do need to sign up for that course (see earlier blog).
I spoke to Catherine again. Its quite sad but Cat's is actually the only friend I talk to on a regular basis. Cat went to bed at 7pm today. 7PM! Its like we are still back in halls (A. and I used to sit outside her door and disturb her, because she'd lock us out, and either sleep, or keep warm by the silly fan heater of hers. Im glad her dad has taken to hiding them. Im afraid she might just burn her toes off!).
My birthday is in a months time... I know I should be excited but I havent got two pennies to rub together to do anything fancy. This happens like every year, and I warn myself it CANNOT happen the next year. You know, Ive always like suprise parties, but no one ever seems to spring one on me!! Maybe its because I look too eager. I wonder if there is an aloof way one should look when secretly requesting a suprise party. hmm!
So I decided Im going to carry on that idea that didnt work last year. 22 things to do before my brithday. But this time, to spice things up a little (thats how fun I am), im going to start on the first of Nov (also my brothers birthday) and do something everyday till my bday. I was going to do the whole Dorchester thing, but I cant be bothered since I already got a glimpse on Ashi's 21st. So Ill have to think of something else specT.I did check out the economist today, like my brother told me to. Didnt find the right article (my browsing skills still zero) nevertheless, as usual, my eyes stumbled across an article on Nigeria, which said,
'Nigeria is now the 32nd most corrupt nation in the world, according to a Berlin-based anti-corruption watchdog, Transparency International, down from the top spot in 2000: progress of sorts' A nation in waiting,Oct 18th 2007,From The Economist print edition
. Isnt it great. We are improving in our own little way! Bring out the Champagne. So I should probably go and read now... or sleep...
(PS. the concert I am planning at Church has been postponed. phew!) -
There's a first time for...

This is my first entry. Its a saturday and I should actually be starting an essay on the Hippocratics, which is due next monday, but I think i'll start that in the next 30 mins.
I opened my inbox this morning and up popped an email about a 6 weeks course combatting procrastination. I should probably enrol myself in the programme. And Catherine too! Catherine is my extremely lazy firend... a worse version of me, saying that, she is probably still in bed right now! I keep telling her that she doesnt want to rush her revision in the last week like I did, but she appears intent on doing just that! I hope you are reading this because this part is dedicated to you Catherine (I am apparently the Guiness record holder for vocalising her name).
I couldnt sleep last night and ended up planning my essay. Mum says its probably because my subconscious activity is raging wild... well her words were more refined (is that the word Im looking for?).
I just realised I actually don't have anything funny, interesting or merely meaningful to say right now, so I think i'd better stop wasting your time and go start my essay.
A bientot
